Wale and Yinka met for the first time in 1997 at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. They were both freshmen and took preliminary science classes together.
At this time, they were not great friends. About 2 years later, Wale left the campus for the clinical aspect of his training and they lost contact only meeting occasionally during campus Christian programs . It was then Wale and Yinka used to visit each other and talk about general matters of interest. At this point, they became good friends.
In 2005, Yinka came to the US for a graduate program and they lost contact with each other. Years later, Yinka and Wale reconnected in the US through a friend and their friendship grew into a relationship. Their love and affection continued to grow which eventually culminated into the beginning of a happy love story.
