Jim and Renee met for the first time on a club trip to Oklahoma. During this trip Jim proposed to Renee during the course of their very first conversation. He said I cant believe a woman like you is not married yet. Will you marry me? Of course because there was no ring involved though Renee said yes the commitment did not last. They did not really speak again for nearly six months and Renee had forgotten Jims name (but definitely remembered his face!) by the next time that they met. Jims roommate had to introduce them all over again, although Jim remembered exactly who she was. They danced together for a brief time that night, while they were talking Jim mentioned that he played the guitar and Renee requested lessons. This is when they really started to get to know each other. They spoke via email for a long time before Jim agreed to the lessons. During the first lesson Renee was mortified when Jim forced her to cut her freshly polished nails all the way down to the skin. The whole guitar lesson escapade was an apparent waste of time as Renee never did learn the secret to making it sound at all like music. Well perhaps it was not a whole waste of time, these lessons allowed Jim and Renee to talk about their interests, goals and future ambitions and they realized that they had so many things in common. Their love of animals and desire for a family are just a few examples of what they look forward to for their future together.
Jim proposed to Renee on the 10th of September 2008. They are to be wed on the 13th of June 2009 in Richmond, Iowa. The couple looks forward to sharing this special day with their closest friends and family.
The couple would also like to thank John Beyer and his wife for a wonderful engagement photo shoot the pictures turned out wonderfully take a look for yourself!
