May of 2006 was the first time Casey and Naomi met. She was playing music with her band on a bench at the Iowa City PedMall when Casey and some friends stopped to listen. Both noticed each other, but went their separate ways. June of 2006 marked their second random meeting. They smiled and greeted each other, but unfortunately, walked away once more. It wouldn't be until October of 2008 that they would meet again through various networking websites. A mutual "Hey I remember you" email was exchanged, and the first date was arranged. Casey and Naomi have been happily together since, and plan to be married November 1, 2008. One year and day after their first date.
